Hi Everyone, I’m Mikey!

I’ve been working at the Stamford YMCA for over 10 years and I love every minute of it! The Y is my home away from home – I’ve watched our Campers and LEAD students grow into young adults!

I was born and raised in Westmoreland Jamaica; at the age of 16, I moved to Montego Bay in St James and the United States in 1996. My biggest passion in life is music!  I am known professionally as Ras Wagon. I am a writer, composer, and producer of music for myself and other upcoming artists. Hi I’m Tristan!

I love teaching Zumba! The reason is simple: every class feels like a party! I’m licensed to teach Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Kids & Jr., and Zumba Gold. During my classes, I include the rhythms of Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bollywood, Dance Hall, and Soca. My class participants rang from 2 to 82.

I’m an instructor at multiple locations; including several Stamford Public Schools, where I pass on my inspiration and love of dance to the next generation.

Most recently I began teaching at the Stamford YMCA, on Tuesday (Zumba), Thursday (Aqua Zumba) and Friday (Zumba) from 6-7pm.
