Lead Academy students engage with peers from other schools and have many opportunities to develop social skills and character. The program offers children academic enrichment, math and reading skill development, and homework assistance. After homework completion and review, children eat a healthy snack and participate in a broad range of activities including Swim Lessons & safety around water, Arts&Crafts, Ferguson Library visits, Group Fitness, Dance and KIDSFANS nutrition classes offered by Stamford Hospital.

LEAD Academy serves children in kindergarten through eighth grade. The program operates after school until 6:00 pm. When school releases early, children arrive at the YMCA for an extended day program. 

We offer credentialed and Engaged Staff each Lead Academy Youth development professional receives over 30 hours of training annually including child development, differentiated curriculum delivery, positive reinforcement, and CPR and First Aid.

We partner with schools and Parents We engage with Stamford Public Schools and parents to ensure that students' academic, social and emotional needs are met.

We offer Affordable Care and Financial Assistance While we try to make our after- school care program affordable for everyone, we understand that some parents might need extra support. We encourage you to apply for financial assistance from Care 4 kids or from our internal financial assistance program if you find that you may have difficulties in paying your program fees.
